New Launch Announcement
Expo City Dubai has launched the first phase of Sidr Residences, a new three-tower development of one- to four-bedroom apartments priced from AED1.88m ($512,000) and ready to move in by 2027.
Project Background
After Mangrove Residences and Sky Residences sold out earlier this year, Expo City’s third residential apartment complex, Sidr Residences, gives prospective homeowners and investors the chance to participate in an ambitious master plan that positions Expo City at the forefront of Dubai’s future.
Development Vision
Ahmed Al Khatib, Expo City Dubai’s chief development and delivery officer, said, “Capitalising on the city’s prime location, seamless connectivity, and top-class amenities, Sidr Residences represents the next step in our commitment to creating vibrant, sustainable communities at Expo City.“
Market Response
“It follows the overwhelming success of Mangrove and Sky Residences and will undoubtedly appeal to those looking to be part of Expo City’s thriving future.“
Design Concept
“Sidr Residences is designed as a modern urban neighborhood, offering impressive views and easy access to the city. It is thoughtfully designed with inspiration from the Sidr tree and is renowned for its resilience in harsh climates and extreme weather. “Just as the Sidr tree’s expansive canopy provides shade, the residences offer comfort and protection, creating a serene living environment for residents.“
Master Plan Overview
The city’s significance as a critical driver of Dubai’s economy was reinforced last month when Expo City announced its new master plan. It outlines intentions to welcome 35,000 inhabitants and 40,000 professionals, turning the former World Expo site into a global model of urban excellence.
District Planning
The plan features five vibrant, mixed-use districts:
- Expo Business
- Expo Hills
- Expo Fields
- Expo Downtown
- Expo Valley
Location and Amenities
Perched on the outskirts of Expo Downtown, Sidr offers views over Terra and is only a five-minute walk from Al Wasl Plaza. Future inhabitants will reside in the city’s center, close to its business districts, dining and shopping establishments, outdoor events, and immersive projections.

Property Features
Large balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows are features of Sidr’s larger-than-average flats. Gyms, pools, nature-inspired play areas, a communal garden, a clubhouse, and a community ‘oasis’ courtyard with outdoor social working spaces.
Strategic Location
Strategically located mid-way between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, close to Al Maktoum International Airport and Jebel Ali Port, and with the Dubai Exhibition Centre on its doorstep, Expo City is one of five centers in the 2040 Dubai Urban Master Plan. It is poised to be a central hub for industries driving the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
